Free training offered to jobless, underemployed

Jobs training organization WorkSource will offer free computer training to people struggling with employment.

The class, funded through a U.S. Department of Labor grant, will offer training in basic programming languages and computer science. The class specifically targets people who have been unemployed or underemployed for at least six months.

Orientation and informational sessions will be held at 1 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays through Sept. 20 at WorkSource, 204 Stonemill Drive, Suite 215, in Vancouver. The full-day classes are Sept. 25 to 29.
