Auditor’s Office report wins national honors

Clark County — The Clark County Auditor’s Office has been recognized by an international association for its annual financial report.

According to a county news release, the international Government Finance Officers Association has recognized the office with a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its 2016 comprehensive annual financial report.

The association serves 19,000 local, state and provincial government officials and finance practitioners in U.S. and Canada. The certificate, awarded last month, is the highest recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting from the Chicago-based association and brings with it the Award of Financial Reporting Achievement, according to the news release.
