La Center — Santa gave his reindeer the night off recently and instead hitched a ride with Clark County Fire & Rescue. On Dec. 1, firefighters decorated a reserve fire engine and drove Santa on his rounds throughout La Center. One fire engine remained in service in case it was needed, and off-duty firefighters volunteered their time to staff the reserve engine. There were five firefighters driving around the decorated engine with Santa.
