Veterans, family members, community members and media are invited to meet with regional Veterans Affairs officials today in Vancouver.

The session will be from 5 to 7 p.m. in Building 11, in the third-floor Columbia Room.

Directors of the VA Portland Health Care System and Veterans Benefits Administration will share ideas on how to improve VA services, answer questions and address concerns. VBA representatives will be on hand to discuss claims and address specific concerns.

Staff members from several services will be able to discuss: suicide prevention; transition and care management; the MyHealtheVet secure communication system; patient advocates; and enrollment services.

The Vancouver Veterans Affairs campus is at 1601 E. Fourth Plain Blvd.; however, the entry closest to Building 11 is off Fort Vancouver Way, across the street from Clark College.

Participants may stop by any time between 5 and 7 p.m. There will be no formal briefings. For information, email VHAPOR-PublicAffairs@med.va.gov or call 503-402-2975.
