Swindell, Grimwade appointed to planning commission

Matt Swindell and Robin Grimwade have been appointed as county planning commissioners by the county council.

Swindell is a lifelong resident of Clark County with a background in construction. He has previously served on Ridgefield City Council and the Ridgefield School District board of directors. His term ends Dec. 31.

Grimwade is a Battle Ground resident and vice president of corporate projects at Columbia Credit Union. He holds advanced and associate diplomas in parks and horticultural management from the University of South Australia. His term ends Dec. 31, 2019.

The Planning Commission is a seven-member volunteer panel that makes recommendations to the council on land-use planning, zoning and development in rural and urban areas outside of city limits. The commission considers growth management, roads, public facilities plans, development regulations and county ordinances.
