Luke Osborn scored 20 points, and Ozzie George had a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds as the Clark College men’s basketball team outlasted Lane 93-92 in overtime Saturday at Eugene.

Clark (13-8, 6-5 NWAC South) had a 10-point lead at halftime, but foul trouble helped Lane get back in the game quickly.

The Titans (11-11, 3-7) cut the Clark lead to two points in the first three minutes of the second half, and it was a battle from there.

Clark coach Kevin Johnson said it was a basket by George that sent the game into overtime.

Again, Lane got a quick start and took a six point lead with three minutes to play in the extra time.

“We just made hustle plays, going after loose balls,” Johnson said of his team’s recovery. “Collectively, everyone played well.”

Clark outrebounded Lane 52-30. Jack Nadelhoffer also had 11 rebounds for the Penguins.

Stephan Ammentorp added 14 points, and Michael Hill had 10 for Clark.

The Penguins sit in fourth place in the tight South region with five games to play. The top four will qualify for the NWAC playoffs, and there’s little room for error. Just four games separate first place from eighth place.

“Over the next five games, we just have to play hard,” Johnson said.

WOMEN: Lane 71, Clark 44 — No. 3-ranked Lane (20-3, 9-1 NWAC South) jumped out to a 19-4 first-quarter lead and didn’t look back.

The Titans held Clark (7-15, 4-7) to 25 percent shooting and outrebounded the Penguins 49-26.

Kylee Williams led Clark in scoring with 10 points.

• Both Clark teams host Chemeketa on Wednesday at the O’Connell Sports Center with the women’s game at 5:30 p.m. followed by the men at 7:30 p.m.
