Esther Short — Members from the Vancouver Dawn Lions Club spent some time following recent winter storms planting trees outside Vancouver City Hall.

The Lions planted six or seven trees, according to David Goggin, one of the club’s members. The cold, frozen ground prevented the club from planting more trees, he said.

The Lions plant trees next to smaller plantings for the city through Friends of the Trees.
