Holiday Closures: Presidents Day

What’s open and what’s closed Monday for Presidents Day:

• MAIL: The main Vancouver post office, at 2700 Caples Ave., open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, other post offices closed. The postal unit at Shell, 1605 N.W. Sixth Ave., Camas, is open 5 a.m. to 2 a.m. every day of the year. No home delivery except Express Mail.

• GARBAGE: Waste Connections, in Vancouver and most of Clark County, will operate on its regular schedule Monday. In Camas, normal Monday collections will be made Tuesday with Tuesday’s regular collections.

• PUBLIC LIBRARIES: Closed Monday.

• PUBLIC SCHOOLS: Closed Monday.

• COLLEGES: Clark College is closed Monday. Washington State University Vancouver has no classes Monday, but offices will be open.

• CLARK PUBLIC UTILITIES: Offices open. For 24-hour customer service, call 360-992-3000. For outages or emergencies, call 360-992-8000.

• GOVERNMENT OFFICES: Offices closed Monday. Washington Legislature in session.

• PARKING METERS: On-street parking in Vancouver is free Monday.

• BUSES: C-Tran and TriMet follow regular schedule Monday.

• DRIVER’S LICENSING: Closed Monday.

• EMISSIONS TESTING: Closed Monday.

• VEHICLE LICENSING: Closed Monday.

• FINANCIAL MARKETS: U.S. markets closed Monday.

• BANKS: Most closed Monday; check your bank for details. Some in-store branches may be open.

• ZOO: Oregon Zoo open Monday.

• MARSHALL COMMUNITY CENTER: Open Monday.

• FIRSTENBURG COMMUNITY CENTER: Open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday.

• THE COLUMBIAN: Open regular hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Monday. Circulation lines, 360-694-2312, open 4:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
