Letter: GOP effort immoral, stupid

By Reinhard Bohme, VANCOUVER
Published: January 10, 2017, 6:00am

With absolute amazement I read about the immoral attempt by the Republican Party to gut or eliminate the Congressional Ethics Committee that keeps an eye on them, as the very first order of business in the new year. It is inconceivable to me that this happens as the first order of business, ahead of so many other urgent needs, unless, as I suspect, the members of the Republican House are planning unethical, criminal behavior or are patently stupid. Both are, of course, possible.
