Camas-Washougal Community Orchestra seeks new players in all sections, open to all ages and skill levels. The orchestra directed by Tatiana Kolchanova plays a variety of music, including classical and pop, and presents two concerts each year. Columbia River Sweet Adelines Chorus seeks women 16 and older for four-part harmony. The ability to read music is not required. Vancouver Community Concert Band seeks all brass, woodwind and percussion players, active and retired. All abilities welcome; no audition required. Vancouver USA Singers seek applicants for its 2017 Youth Scholarship. The scholarship winner will be awarded $1,000 to further vocal studies, along with performing with the ensemble during its May concerts. Applicants must be high school students enrolled in Clark County or a neighboring county. Submit a recorded performance of classical, opera or stage music in MP3 or MP4 format with the online application form no later than March 15. Angst Gallery seeks work from local artists for “Inauguration Angst,” on display Feb. 3-25, an open show for artwork that initiates a conversation around the upcoming presidential inauguration, how to bring people together and concerns about America’s future. The work can be in the form of music, poetry or visual art. Entrepreneurial Women Writers and Artists seeks writers and artists to take part in an Arts and Culture Tour on Feb. 18 in La Center. Historical buildings, beginning with Summit Grove Lodge, will serve as venues for writers and artists to show and sell work.
