Letter: Vote ‘yes’ on Vancouver bond

By Ann Varkados, VANCOUVER
Published: January 27, 2017, 6:00am

I support the Vancouver Public Schools bond measure on the Feb. 14 ballot. This bond will allow the district to build three new schools; replace, remodel and/or enlarge several schools; and provide improvements to all other schools in the district. As a substitute employee I observe the efforts of staff as they work tirelessly to provide the best education possible for children.

I encourage the community to vote “yes” on this school bond — to protect our students, to protect our educational investments and to send a clear message that the Vancouver community is dedicated to quality education.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
