Letter: Orange for port commissioner

By Pat Freiberg, VANCOUVER
Published: July 13, 2017, 6:00am

Feeling overwhelmed by political chaos and a nation seemingly running amuck? Do you want a legacy of clean air and water for your grandchildren and their children? What can you do? You can vote for Don Orange for port commissioner.

If Orange is elected, the port’s contract with Tesoro-Savage might be voided and you will have done something spectacular. You will have spared Vancouver becoming an oil town with a fossil fuel infrastructure. You will have made our corner of the globe cleaner, safer, more habitable. The stakes are high — vote Orange.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
