Vancouver – City Councilor Alishia Topper’s work on homelessness and affordable housing in Vancouver earned her a spot on the governor’s housing committee.

Gov. Inslee made the announcement Monday for Topper’s seat on the Washington State Housing Finance Committee. Topper will serve a four-year term, starting with her first meeting in Seattle on July 27.

The committee provides loans to single-family home buyers in Washington. It also educates first-time home buyers.
