Clark County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a 16-year-old male on Saturday morning for suspected armed robbery at a Five Corners convenience store in Vancouver.

Deputies responded to a call at about 2:10 a.m. from a victim outside the 7-Eleven at 9411 N.E. 76th Street, reporting that they had been robbed at gunpoint outside of the store, according to a report from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim provided dispatchers with a description of the suspect.

Responding deputies located a group of four males walking south of the store, including one subject who matched the provided suspect description, the report stated.

Additional responding deputies took statements from the victim and six acquaintances, and, according to the report, learned that the suspect pointed the firearm at several victims within the group during the robbery.

According to the report, the victim and acquaintances positively identified the suspect, a 16-year-old male.

The sheriff’s office stated that deputies located a loaded 9 mm handgun in the bushes near where the suspect was first observed by responding deputies. The firearm was later determined to be stolen.

The suspect was booked into Juvenile Detention Hall on the charges of first-degree robbery, first-degree assault and possession of a stolen firearm.
