Letter: Trump hurts his own cause

By Philip S. Parker, VANCOUVER

FDR used radio to inspire the American people. He used it to give people hope during The Great Depression and motivation to win the fight during World War II. He also developed programs that help people, like Social Security and unemployment benefits.

What is our current president doing? He uses Twitter to complain, complain, complain. He uses social media to personally attack everyone who disagrees with him. He is ready to dismantle a program that provides health care for people who didn’t have it before, rather than try to improve it. The more he tweets about former FBI chief James Comey, the more I’m likely to believe Comey’s side of the story.

Really, how did this man become president and how long are we going to have to put up with him and his tweets?
