Volunteer Connections provides opportunities through the Human Services Council.

• Columbia Springs seeks volunteers to help pull ivy, maintain trails and plant trees at Stewardship Saturday events, once a month all year. Children 7 and older are welcome to participate with an adult.

• Furry Friends is looking for volunteer vet techs to assist with in-house medical exams, help with shots and medications and record-keeping. The organization is an all-volunteer, no-kill, nonprofit cat rescue.

• The American Cancer Society Road to Recovery seeks volunteers to help drive cancer patients to their treatment appointments.

• Vancouver Farmer’s Market seeks volunteer help at its “shop and drop” booth, with customer service, handling merchandise transactions, and conducting customer counts and other data collection.

• West Columbia Gorge Humane Society seeks volunteers to help in the cat and dog shelter with a variety of assignments. Clean kennels, socialization, help with events or behind the scenes.
