The following titles are recent releases by regional authors:

• “Jelly Bean Summer,” by Joyce Magnin. Part memoir, part fiction, this children’s book follows Jelly Bean in 1968 and looks at friendship, a guinea pig and how one mistake changed everything. $10.98 hardcover. Available at www.amazon.com.

• “Murdered Justice,” by Patrick Brown. Investigative journalist Maggie Lyon is asked to cover an exclusive weekend gathering at a Hollywood mansion only to wake up one morning and learn that a Supreme Court justice was murdered overnight. $17.99 paperback. Available at www.a-argusbooks.com.

• “Meet Me Where I Left You,” by Tiffany Burba. The debut collection of poetry and short prose following Burba’s real and imagined New York City adventures of love, lust, museums, jazz, food and running in Central Park. $10 paperback. Available at www.amazon.com.

• “Legend of Beards Hollow,” by Kent D. Walsh. William Robinson is captured by vicious pirates and escapes out to sea, where he drifts until he is rescued by a merchant ship. A shipwreck on the Columbia River bar lands him in Beards Hollow, where he meets the love of his life and decides to search for pirate treasure in the cove. $13.95 paperback. • “Frannie Flamingo’s Oregon Coast Outing,” by Kelly A. Higgins. When Frannie asks her niece where she would most like to visit, Annie Flamingo picks the Oregon Coast. $11.95 paperback. Available at www.amazon.com.

• “Mrs. McBee Leaves Room 3,” by Gretchen Brandenburg McLellan. It’s not just the end of the school year in Room 3, it’s also Mrs. McBee’s last day working at the school entirely, so her students want to figure out a special way to say goodbye. $14.42 hardcover. Available at www.amazon.com.

• “Black Butterfly: A Bogey Man Mystery,” by Marja McGraw. The Black Butterfly has been accused of deadly crimes, most recently when the body of a gangster who’s been missing for more than 60 years is found buried under a casino floor in Las Vegas.
