Letter: Republicans take aim at health care

I find it interesting that Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Camas, blames Obamacare for the lack of insurers willing to sign up to cover residents in rural counties. When President Obama was in office, those counties had insurers. It is only since the change in the White House that insurers feel free to go back to their old ways.

Money is the driving force, not concern for our population. Do you really believe “pre-existing conditions” would ever have been covered if not mandated? And after spouting garbage for eight years that they, the Republicans, had such a great replacement for Obamacare, they now are trying to strip health care from the most vulnerable once again.
