Northwest — Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School celebrated an early Pentecostal Mass earlier this month. Pentecost is a Christian holiday celebrating the birth of the church, often referred to as the gift of the Holy Spirit, and the school celebrated cultures across the world with prayers performed by Our Lady of Lourdes students and families in Danish, German, Indian, Tingrit, Russian, Spanish and Vietnamese. The Rev. Woody McCallister closed the prayer service by asking all to pray the Our Father in their preferred language or the language in which they first learned the prayer.
