Clark College Music Department announces choral auditions for the Women’s Choral Ensemble, Concert Choir and Clark College Chorale. Vocalists are invited to audition for all parts with the three choirs, with auditions scheduled by appointment. Auditions include a song of your choice, vocal exercises and sight reading. Columbia River Sweet Adelines Chorus seeks women 16 and older for four-part harmony. The ability to read music is not required. Junior Symphony of Vancouver seeks young musicians of Southwest Washington and Oregon to join the symphony. Open to orchestral and chamber music instruments for those in middle school through college. Auditions are arranged by appointment only, with the application available online. Vancouver Community Concert Band seeks all brass, woodwind and percussion players, active and retired. All abilities welcome, no audition required. The volunteer community band, along with its polka band, Dixieland Jazz Band and chamber ensembles, performs regularly around the area. Boomerang seeks art submissions for its May exhibition, “Paper Art – Made Formed and Simply Used Up.” Open to artists working in the art of paper media of all types, where paper is the key element of the work. Gallery 360 seeks artists or a group of artists interested in exhibiting in the community room of the Slocum House, offering space for up to 40 pieces of artwork. There are openings for three monthly shows between July and December. There’s an entry fee of $500, with a form deadline of April 15. The Society of Washington Artists seeks entries for its annual Spring Show and Sale April 27 through April 30. All artists ages 18 or older can submit up to three pieces of work, with $25 for the first entry, $10 for additional entries. This show will be professionally judged with significant cash awards given for Best of Show and category winners. Theater

Magenta Theater seeks actors ages 18 and older for a staged reading of “The War of the Worlds: The 1938 Radio Script.” The audition will consist cold readings from the script.
