The Health Systems Quality Assurance Division of the state Department of Health recently took disciplinary actions or has withdrawn charges against these Clark County health care providers.

In February, the Medical Assistant Program entered an agreement with certified medical assistant Amanda Suzanne Reinders that indefinitely suspends her credential. Reinders admitted using a physician’s Drug Enforcement Administration number and another clinic worker’s name to call in controlled substance prescriptions for her own use.

In February, the Nursing Assistant Program charged registered nursing assistant and certified nursing assistant Jeremiah W. Rogers with unprofessional conduct. In 2016 Rogers was convicted of unlawful imprisonment — domestic violence, and fourth-degree assault — domestic violence.

In September, the secretary of health denied an interim medical assistant credential to Rigoberto Prieto-Lozano, whose registered nursing assistant license was suspended in 2016.
