Two women reportedly got into a fight Friday night in a Vancouver motel, and one woman lost a finger in the altercation.

The incident occurred at about 8:40 p.m. at the Motel 6, 221 N.E. Chkalov Drive, Sgt. Pat Johns of the Vancouver Police Department said. Two women met in a hallway and got into a verbal argument, which he said escalated into a physical argument and a fight.

One woman allegedly bit the other woman’s finger off, he said. The wounded woman and her severed finger were transported to a local area hospital for treatment.

Johns said police have made no arrests yet and are investigating. The cause of the argument is unknown at this time.
