Letter: Letter misses the mark

I am writing in reference to Don Newell’s letter (“Column says a whole lot of nothing,” May 4 ) which was in response to Greg Jayne’s editorial (“It’s tremendous what I’m doing for newspaper columns,” April 30).

Since the whole point of Jayne’s column was to imitate President Trump, I have to assume Newell would express the same sentiments of Trump.

“Trump (Column) says a whole lot of nothing.”

“It appears that your president (Editorial Page editor) needs an editor.”

“When you have nothing to say, it is best to say nothing at all!” Sadly, Trump (Jayne) has violated this adage.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
