The Democrats and the Republicans are both bragging that they won the budget fight. Why does it have to be a “win”? Wouldn’t it be nice to hear a politician say, “Well, we had to give up some things and they had to give up some things. But we compromised for the good of the American people.”
It seems that our representatives to Washington don’t remember the American people. They have to work too hard to keep their billionaire sponsors happy. We, the American people, want to raise our collective hand and say, “Uh. Remember us? Hello?”
