Zone change proposed for homes in Airport Green

VANCOUVER — Vancouver developer SGA Engineering is proposing a zone change with the city of Vancouver in order to subdivide 16.69-acre lot in the Airport Green neighborhood to make 100 single-family homes for people ages 55 and older.

A preapplication filed with the city outlines plans to rezone the land, currently mixed-use development and light industrial use, to medium density residential.

The zone change would make way for the construction of The Village at Evergreen Landing, a gated community at 13700 N.E. Fourth St. The community would have cottage-style homes and townhouses with varied style and parking options, with lots and garages.

The lot currently has three structures, grass fields and a few trees. The property is owned by Four Seasons Subdivision, of Vancouver. Developers will meet with city planners June 1.
