Letter: Chance to speak up on health care

By Tom Knappenberger, VANCOUVER

While the health care debate swirls all around us, it seems regular folks haven’t been asked what they think. Talk shows, rallies and political bombast have filled the air. Now there’s a chance for you to have a say.

We Stand Indivisible, a local grass-roots volunteer group, is hosting a health care listening session, 6 to 9 p.m. this evening at the Clark Public Utilities meeting room, 1200 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver. Thoughts, opinions and health care stories will be recorded and shared with Sens. Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell, and Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler. Comment cards also will be available.

We Stand Indivisible has no position on health care and is not advocating anything other than providing a forum for people to voice their views on an issue that touches us all so deeply. Hope to see you there.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
