HAZEL DELL — Electronic kiosks, digital menu boards and new uniforms make up the new-look McDonald’s in Hazel Dell.

The upgraded fast food restaurant, at 710 N.E. 98th Circle, will reopen Tuesday, according to a press release from owners Val and Matt Hadwin. The update also opens up a double-lane drive-thru.

“We are ecstatic to be one of the pioneers of this ‘Experience of the Future’ program here in the Northwest,” Val Hadwin said in the statement. “This remodel represents one of the many changes we are making not only as a small business but as a brand.”

The McDonald’s will throw a week’s worth of events alongside its unveiling, starting with Tuesday’s ribbon cutting, including tours of the new facilities on Wednesday and a visit May 27 from company mascot Ronald McDonald.

Val and Matt Hadwin own 17 McDonald’s franchises, including three in Portland and 12 in Clark County.
