There were three 4A Greater St. Helens League softball teams at the start of Sunday, trying to win two spots to the 4A state tournament.

Battle Ground (15-10) claimed the No. 5 seed for state from the 4A bi-district tournament defeating Bellarmine Prep 7-5 and then Auburn Mountainview 5-3 at Boise Creek Six-Plex in Enumclaw.

Camas (21-2) is joining the Tigers as the Papermakers knocked out rival Union 10-0 in five innings, and then dumped South Kitsap 12-1 in five innings as well.

Battle Ground then won a coin toss with Camas for the fifth seed and will take on Moses Lake in the first round of state at 10 a.m. Friday at Spokane.

Camas will face Richland in its first-round state game at 10 a.m. Friday.

Battle Ground and Camas were drawn into the same half of the bracket and could meet in the semifinals.
