Man fatally shot near Alki Beach in West Seattle

SEATTLE — Police are investigating a deadly shooting near Alki Beach in West Seattle.

KOMO-TV reports the shooting happened just after 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Investigators say a large group of individuals had gathered at the beach just before the call came in.

Some sort of disturbance happened in the group. Witnesses reported several shots being fired.

A man in his 20’s was hit several times. Police said he was taken to Harborview Medical Center where he later died. Seattle Fire said the victim is a 25-year-old man.

Investigators believe the suspect or suspects then fled the scene in a vehicle. They have not yet released a suspect or vehicle description.
