Anna Countryman was crowned Miss Greater Vancouver’s Outstanding Teen. She is a junior at Vancouver School of Arts and Academics, promoting her platform on the importance of arts in education. She is the daughter of George and Jami Countryman. Anna will be performing a tap dance routine to music from “Footloose” in the talent portion of the competition.

Both teens will compete in the preliminary round held Saturday with other young women from around Washington, with the final round held Sunday. The winner of the Miss Washington’s Outstanding Teen title will go on to the national teen pageant in the Miss America system, which is held in July.

The Miss Washington state pageant will be held at the end of June.
