LONGVIEW — A Longview woman accused of supplying heroin linked to the death of her roommate has pleaded not guilty.

The Daily News reported that Jessica Nichole Brown, 28, pleaded not guilty this week in Cowlitz Superior Court to charges of controlled substance homicide and felony delivery of heroin. Cowlitz County Coroner Tim Davidson said the cause of 26-year-old Sara Kirchner’s death is pending toxicology results.

Brown is accused of not calling medical personnel during or after Kirchner’s overdose.

Officers found Brown hiding in bushes outside of the women’s apartment when they responded to the incident May 7.

Court records show Brown told officers she sold heroin to Kirchner in the past.
