Interested in making sure that elections in Clark County aren’t “rigged”? The Clark County Elections Office will be holding its annual training for people interested in becoming volunteer election observers.

Each election, local political parties direct trained and certified observers to witness every stage of the election process, including signature verification and inspection boards.

Observers ensure that voted ballots are properly counted or improperly removed from the election process. All political party observers also keep an eye on other observers.

The training will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. June 7 in the Elections Conference Room at 1408 Franklin St., Vancouver. While political parties are expected to appoint observers, members of the public are invited to attend. For more information, contact 360-397-2345.
