Letter: Jiles is best for Ridgefield

By Danielle Jokela, VANCOUVER
Published: November 1, 2017, 6:00am

I support Damion Jiles for Ridgefield school board. Jiles is a 12-year Army veteran and father of three. He was drawn to Ridgefield because of the outstanding schools. He is committed to creating welcoming schools where the diversity of students feel safe, and are not bullied based on race, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, or ability.

Jiles believes in creating choice for our students as they graduate, and would focus on helping graduates find a path to college, trade school or apprenticeship, or ROTC and military service.

Damion Jiles would be a refreshing change on the Ridgefield School District board.
