Volunteer Connections provides opportunities through the Human Services Council. For information on the following and other opportunities, call 360-735-3683.

Clark County Public Works — Parks Division seeks volunteers to rake leaves, 9 a.m. to noon on Nov. 4 and 18. Snacks, warm beverages and parking passes will be provided. 

• Clark County Food Bank will host S&VEN, an annual event, to engage high school students and service veterans in community service on Nov. 10. Veterans with a desire to connect with students and share their experiences are encouraged to participate. There are morning and afternoon shifts available.

Evergreen Habitat for Humanity seeks help with its holiday mailing. Volunteers are needed to stuff and seal envelopes between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., Nov. 16 and 17. 

Volunteer Services of Catholic Community Services needs drivers to drive low-income elderly or disabled individuals to their medical appointments, grocery store, or to other essential needs. Volunteers must have a clean driving record, insurance, and a safe vehicle. A mileage reimbursement and excess auto insurance while driving clients is provided.
