CENTRALIA — A judge has issued arrest warrants for a Washington state couple who pleaded guilty last month to child mistreatment.

The Centralia Chronicle reports that Mary and Anthony Foxworth skipped their sentencing hearings in Lewis County Superior Court Wednesday. They had been out on bail.

The Centralia couple was accused of severely neglecting one of the children in their care between 2007 and 2016.

Court documents show that the boy was found at age 16 to weigh only 54 pounds. He was unable to talk and was diagnosed with severe malnutrition, neglect and other health issues.

The couple’s defense lawyers, Chris Baum and Jacob Clark, told the judge their clients were aware of the sentencing date.

Prosecutors are seeking a 51-month prison sentence for each of them.
