Tigard police officer struck while on-duty

TIGARD, Ore. — A Tigard motorcycle officer has been taken to a hospital after he was struck by a vehicle.

Police spokesman Jim Wolf says the officer was responding to an emergency call shortly after 7 a.m. Monday when the collision occurred on Pacific Highway. Wolf described the officer’s condition as stable.

He says the other driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
