The Master Gardener Foundation of Clark County’s board of directors is accepting 2018 grant applications from local organizations for projects that will educate the community on research-based horticultural practices which preserve and/or enhance the environment.

Applications must be received at the foundation’s office at the 78th Street Heritage Farm, 1919 N.E. 78th St., Vancouver, before 2 p.m. on Nov. 15. Guidelines for the grant and the application are available at www.mgfcc.com/Grants.html.

The board will review applications in December and grants will be awarded in January. In 2017, the foundation awarded 16 grants totaling more than $37,000 for horticultural education activities, such as community projects, demonstration gardens and school garden support.
