La Center’s run at the 1A state volleyball tournament ended Saturday with a loss to Naches Valley in the seventh-place semifinal at the Yakima SunDome.

Naches Valley won 25-21, 25-19, 25-13.

“We could not get a rhythm going at all this morning,” La Center coach Cymany O’Brien said. “As a coach it was frustrating to see them struggle and not be able to fix it. We would start to get it going and then fall off. That being said, I am proud of how we competed this weekend despite this morning’s loss.”

Laynie Erickson finished with 11 kills and nine digs, Amanda Holm had 20 assists and eight digs, Emma Shahbazi had six kills and 10 digs, and Katie Leslie added 12 digs for the Wildcats.
