Letter: Stores should close on holidays

By Toni Jacobson, Battle Ground
Published: November 12, 2017, 6:00am

When I was a young girl all the stores closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas and if you didn’t get everything you wanted then you were just out of luck. People need to get their supplies before the holiday so that they can enjoy the holiday with their families and friends. The employees need the day off. It’s just that simple. So close the stores and enjoy your turkey and stuffing and sweet potatoes but most of all enjoy your families and thank God that you have them.
