Highway 14 offramp to be closed again

The westbound state Highway 14 offramp at Evergreen Boulevard will be closed once again from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The city of Vancouver is working on a water improvement project in the area.

The project intends to renew an existing water main that crosses underneath state Highway 14 between East Evergreen Boulevard and Southeast Evergreen Highway.

Drivers should watch for signs to indicate traffic changes as work continues. The city also warns motorcyclists to exercise caution when driving over steel plates placed on the roadway.

Additional daily closures from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. are expected beginning in late November or early December.
