A crash in west Vancouver, where Fourth Plain and Mill Plain intersect, blocked the road for a few hours early Saturday morning.

The crash was reported by passer-by around 2 a.m. at Mill Plain and St. Francis Lane. A vehicle struck a traffic signal pole and a woman was trapped in the car, Vancouver Fire Department Capt. Joe Spatz said. The car was significantly damaged.

Arriving firefighters were quickly able to pull the woman out; she had serious injuries and was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. Her name was not released.
