Letter: U.S. needs back in Paris accord

President Donald Trump’s announcement to pull the United States out of the Paris climate agreement back in June is still a pressing issue. This agreement, reached in 2015, was to set targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and limiting the rise in average global temperatures.

By withdrawing, he is clearly stating how he no longer thinks it is an issue worthy of attention. President Trump needs to address that global warming still is a problem and, by doing this, he is not helping it.

As a businessman himself, President Trump’s focus has always been on big business when he should at least try to keep in account how the call for more corporations will affect the climate even more so. The U.S. needs back in the Paris agreement.
