I was very pleased to see your article about the Represent.Us chapter in Vancouver (“Fighting corruption starts at home,” Nov. 9). This group is absolutely correct in that without local awareness of this issue, changes will not occur on a state and local level. I, for one, cannot figure out why we are not marching in the streets over this issue every week in this nation. Yes, some cities have higher levels of corruption than others. And if they do it is because of a systemic problem that we have allowed as a nation. Bravo, Represent.Us, for fighting and The Columbian for reporting on it.
