KIRKLAND — Authorities say three people were injured when a SUV crashed into an apartment building in Kirkland.

KOMO-TV reports crews were sent to the 200 block of 5th Avenue just before noon Wednesday.

Officials say medics and officers arrived to find a man had been pinned to the couch under the SUV.

Officials say he was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and while his conditions were not disclosed, he was alert.

Officials say the two people in the vehicle suffered minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital.

Police say it appears the driver was attempting to park when the car accelerated into the building.

Officials say one unit was severely damaged while four others remained off limits due to structural damage.
