The Clark County Arts Commission is accepting applications for the next Clark County Poet Laureate.

The commission is seeking a Clark County resident who is an experienced, published poet willing to share their passion and serve as a “poetry ambassador” in the community. That means visiting schools and libraries, teaching classes, giving and hosting readings, attending civic events and stewarding the “Poetry Moves” program cosponsored by C-Tran and Arts of Clark County.

The two-year position is voluntary, but the commission is seeking funding. Applications must be sent via regular U.S. mail and postmarked no later than Nov. 1.
