The National Weather Service has issued an advisory warning of significant weather from now until 3:15 p.m.

Meteorologists are tracking a thunderstorm near Ridgefield and Mount St. Helens that is moving east to southeast at 15 mph, according to the advisory. The storm may produce a funnel cloud and pea-size hail and winds in excess of 35 mph.

The advisory states, “Funnel clouds are rotating columns of air that do not reach the ground, thus they do not pose a threat to life and property unless they do reach the ground and become a tornado.”
