EVERETT — Fire crews responded to a two-alarm fire burning multiple buildings near Everett.

KOMO-TV reports the fire broke out at about 3:15 a.m. Monday south of Everett along Highway 99, just north of the Mukilteo Speedway.

Early reports said the fire was at a tire store there, but as crews arrived, they realized the area behind the business and a home were also on fire, according to Leslie Hynes with Snohomish County Fire District 1.

Firefighters battled the flames defensively to control them from spreading to other areas. About 500 tires caught fire within the burning tire shop.

No injuries have been reported. Officials have not identified a cause for the fire.
