Letter: Support Woodland pool

By John Bohrnsen, WOODLAND
Published: October 16, 2017, 6:00am

I came to Woodland over 25 years ago as the new superintendent of schools. One of the first community projects I heard about was the effort to build a community swimming pool.

Recently the pool committee joined forces with the YMCA to plan a beautiful community pool/ multi-purpose recreation center. It is time for this community to step up. The pool/recreation center will be a great community asset, but it needs our local support and funding to go forward. If you want a YMCA recreation center and pool, vote “yes.” My wife and I will.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
