Letter: Support levy lift for fire district

I live in Clark County Fire District 3 and have been following the fire levy lid lift that has been proposed. What has impressed me is that the district is prepared, whether it passes or not. The fire chief and board members are very clear that it is up to us, the voters, to decide what level of service we want.

I’m concerned about losing emergency personnel and having response times increase if it fails. This puts everyone at risk — all families, all businesses. I believe an extra $5 per month is a reasonable amount for 24-hour emergency responses.
