River soccer clinches title

Sophia Skimas scored with two minutes left as the Columbia River girls soccer team beat R.A. Long 1-0 Saturday at Kiggins Bowl.

The win secures the 2A Greater St. Helens League title for River (10-1). The Chieftains have a two-game lead over Hockinson with one league game to play.

Alex Schulz had seven saves for Columbia River.
